Configuring Email and Push Notifications

Introduction

Zoho Connect helps you stay informed about important activity in your network by sending notifications via email and push (on the mobile app). You can manage when and how you’re notified by adjusting your personal notification settings. This guide walks you through configuring your own preferences.

 

For admin-level, network-wide settings, refer to the separate admin guide.

How to Set Your Notification Preferences

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner of the page.
  2. Select Notification Preferences from the dropdown menu.
  3. In the pop-out window, toggle the switch to enable or disable email notifications.
  4. Use the tabs at the top—General, Groups, Forums, Boards—to customize your notifications for each section.
  5. Select or deselect the checkboxes for the types of notifications you want to receive.

Note: If email notifications are disabled in the General tab, you won’t be able to enable email digest notifications.

 

Managing Group Notification Preferences

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Notification Preferences.
  3. Navigate to the Groups tab.
  4. You’ll see a list of groups you belong to on the left.
  5. Scroll through the list or use the search bar to find a specific group.
  6. After selecting the group, configure your desired notification settings for that group.

Managing Forum Notification Preferences

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Notification Preferences.
  3. Switch to the Forums tab.
  4. Use the checkboxes to choose the types of forum post notifications you’d like to receive.

Managing Board Notification Preferences

  1. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  2. Select Notification Preferences.
  3. Switch to the Boards tab.
  4. A list of boards you’re part of will appear on the left.
  5. Scroll or search to find the board you want to update.
  6. Select the board and adjust your notification settings as needed.

Tips

  • Reduce clutter: Uncheck boxes for updates that aren’t essential to you.
  • Use the mobile app: Push notifications keep you updated in real-time without needing email.
  • Revisit settings: As your involvement in groups, forums, or boards changes, update your preferences accordingly.
