Configuring DKIM for your Email Domain

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 8 views

Introduction

DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) is an email authentication protocol that helps verify the authenticity of an email message. It confirms whether an email was genuinely sent from the domain it claims to be from, thus reducing the risk of spoofing and helping your messages land in the recipient’s inbox — not the spam folder.

How to Add and Verify Your Custom Email Domain

Note: This process can only be performed by the Zoho Social portal admin.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Access Portal Settings

  • Navigate to Settings > General Settings.
  • Click on Portal Settings and switch to the Email Authentication

2. Add Your Custom Domain

  • Click Add a domain.
  • Enter your domain name (e.g., com) and click Add.

The domain must match the domain used in your portal admin’s email address (e.g., [email protected]).

3. Get the DKIM Record

  • A pop-up will show the required values:
    • Host Name (e.g., _domainkey)
    • TXT Record Value (a long DKIM public key)
  • Click Copy next to both fields.

4. Add DKIM Record to Your Domain Host

Follow the appropriate instructions below for your DNS provider.

Verify Your Domain in Zoho Social
